Basic Controls

The actions you can made depend on your current mode, therefore, there are different functions to your buttons. Some functions will only become available later in the game. Refer to the following tables to know every function in every mode.

Default Controls

Directional Buttons Or Left Analog Stick	Move Character or walk through menu options
	Pauses the Game
	Toggles Vibration ON or OFF
	Confirm, Talk, Examine
	Open Menu
	Cancel or when hold down + move, you can Walk instead of run
	Confirm, Talk, Examine or Challenge to a Card Game
	Soft reset. Game resets to main screen to load a game or start a new game. All unloaded progress will be gone.

Battle Controls

Directional Buttons Or Left Analog Stick	Move Cursor
	Toggle target window ON or OFF
	Full Trigger for Gunblade
	Escape battle
	Confirm Command
	Skip or Refresh Character, go to next Character that is ready for action
	Cancel Command
	Cycle through status effects
	Pauses the game
	Hold SELECT to hide battle windows, press SELECT and to Boost up GF's during their attack

Menu Controls

Directional Buttons Or Left Analog Stick	Move Cursor
	Cancels Command & Closes Menu Screen
	Confirms Command
	Removes Materia equipped on a weapon or armor.
	Switches between the Materia menu and the Equip menu.
	Selects characters in the same order as they are lined up in the party and moves the scroll bar up when selecting items and magic.
