Final Fantasy II
You've come a long way from Fynn, but you escape ends here. Travel In all of the Final Fantasy series you start out with basic traveling: on foot. As you progress in the game, you'll find new ways of traveling through the world. It would be nice to have the best traveling ways at the start of the game, such as an Airship, but it wouldn't do your party any good, as you won't get any random battles and thus you really have to focus on leveling up. This looks a lot like Final Fantasy I, but now there are a few different vehicles. In this game, sports are introduced, which gives you new vehicles to try out! Try to figure out the bst way of using them to travel around the world! Here is a list of the ways you can journey through the world of Final Fantasy II are listed. They are listed in the order you acquire it. By Ship Once you acquire the ship you can sail on the seas as much as you please, which opens up a lot more locations you can visit. You can't however, go on rivers or lakes with the ship though. You can always disembark the ship at any point, near land of course, to continue your journey on foot. By Canoe As in Final Fantasy I, you can acquire the canoe to travel on all sorts of rivers and lakes. This opens up even more new area's. You can now travel to a distant land by ship and continue inland by canoe. As same as with the ship, you can get out of your canoe if you want to continue by foot of if you can't go any further. Of course, you still have to go by foot to reach certain locations! By Snowcraft Have you noticed the snow in Final Fantasy II already? You cannot stroll through the deep, thick snow by foot, nor can you cross it by using your ship or canoe. No, you'll need this nice, neat vehicle to get the party through the deep snow in order to reach the next, un-explored area! By Chocobo Any idea what a Chocobo is? If you've played Final Fantasy, you must have seen them! They are the big, friendly and yellow birds who are able to carry your entire party across and and rivers. They cannot fly, but as helpful as they are, they will always come to aid when you want to travel faster. One of the big plusses, according to me, is that you do not encounter any random fights while riding your lovely Chocobo. Don't stay on too long, cause you will also not gain any experience in battling or levels to become stronger. By Airship As you have already guessed, traveling by airship is much faster than any of the previous stated ways of traveling through the world of Final Fantasy II. Your airship cannot land everywhere, it can only land on the open plains. You also won't get any random fights while flying on your magnificent airship! Conclusion Of course, you need to find yourself a good way of combining all of these ways of traveling to get everywhere you want, as long as you don't forget to advance your characters in battle combat. You are forced to wait though, until you get your next new way of traveling. |
